The quick vibe

Lincoln/Franconia Notch is a super family-friendly base in the White Mountains: hikes and boardwalk gorges, scenic drives (hello, Kancamagus), classic attractions (bears! waterpark! train!), plus ziplining and Loon Mountain’s summer park. In winter it flips to ski/ice-castle mode.

Minyan & Jewish essentials

Summer Minyan (Lincoln Minyan): Seasonal only (Tish’a B’Av → Labor Day). Weekday minyanim are typically hosted at the Days Inn, Lincoln; Shabbos minyanim are arranged across rental areas—please register each week so they can place you and bring a Sefer Torah. Expect multiple weekday Shacharis options later in August; times are posted on site and can vary with attendance. There’s no eiruv in Lincoln. Suggested family contribution helps cover space/Sefer Torah logistics. Full details + sign-up are on the Lincoln Minyan site. Lincoln Minyan

Kosher food—what’s realistic

Local basics: Price Chopper (Market 32), 10 Paper Mill Dr, Lincoln—limited kosher packaged items; don’t rely on it for full provisioning. Price Chopper - Market 32The Minyan at Lincoln, NH
Stronger option (≈20–25 min): Presidential Mountain Resort (PMR), Bethlehem runs a summer kosher grocery with prepared foods and will deliver to Lincoln with a minimum order. Contact 1108 Main St, Bethlehem, NH. Lincoln MinyanPresidential Mountain Resort
Farther south (en-route via Boston/Nashua): Trader Joe’s/Whole Foods/Hannaford have some kosher selection, but limited—plan to bring what you need.
